This all-inclusive 3-day culinary event in Western PEI (aka ‘Up West’) is for those with an appetite for untamed and authentic culinary experiences. Featuring a 3-course Oysterlicious feast on Friday evening, Sip N’ Slurp roving reception on Saturday night, one-of-a-kind excursions, live music, and more, it’s going to be a weekend for the memory books! 

Get your Friday night started right VIP welcome reception overlooking the 18th hole of the resort’s renowned golf course. Next, it’s time for the main event, Oysterlicious, a 3-course feast prepared by celebrity guest Eamon Clark and Jesse Morrison-Gauthier, executive chef of Mill River Resort. Discover the versatility and incredible flavour profiles of freshly harvested oysters showcased in a variety of hyper-local dishes and paired with craft brews from the region.

After a restful sleep at the resort, it’s time to explore the region at your own pace. Choose between one of two carefully-curated excursions that will serve up a slice of Up West life. For those that love to hit the greens, the golf course at Mill River beckons with 18 memorable holes set amidst mature forests, rolling fairways and numerous water features. Or head West for The Oyster Deck Experience hosted by Cascumpec Bay Oyster Company and North Cape Coastal Drive! Located overlooking the Trout River, the Oyster Deck is a one-of-kind oyster experience. Be prepared to experience a unique and fun way to shuck and slurp oysters! From raw to cooked and grilled, you’ll be able to savour oysters prepared in various ways, plus other delicious surf & turf style bites prepared by Westisle Cuisine’s own, Coranna Bostock. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn how to shuck an oyster from 10X Canadian Oyster Shucking Champion Eamon Clark and Oyster Expert John Petcoff.

Saturday night, get ready for lots of shucking fun, craft bevies, and PEI oysters at the 2nd Annual Sip N’ Slurp. Mix and mingle all night long at Valley Pearl Oyster in Tyne Valley as you sip drinks from 10 of the Island’s most beloved breweries and cideries. Make sure you save room to slurp the oyster bites being served up by  8 of PEI’s revered oyster producers in a variety of delicious ways, from fresh to fried and everything in between!  Pair it all with music from the Grass Mountain Hobos, and you’ve got yourself a good ol’ Saturday night shindig, Up West-style.

And no worries about getting to or from the weekend’s excursions and events. Your Up West hosts have your transportation all sorted out! 

Cap off your stay in Western PEI with a scrumptious Sunday morning breakfast and a fond farewell from your host chefs. The event is subject to change.
