“Megapaji” To Eat in Abundance will take place in the community of Lennox Island overlooking the beautiful Malpeque Bay. Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by Mi’kmaq artisans who will demonstrate the fine details that go into the creation of traditional baskets made from ash, artwork made from porcupine quills & birch bark, and how to assemble a traditional drum made from smoked ash and moose hides. Experience a traditional Smudging ceremony followed by a delectable menu of locally-sourced food prepared over an open fire. Roving food stations will educate guests on ingredients and their cultural significance. The day will end with live entertainment, drumming, and dancing.
