Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully-curated menu while Chef Adam Loo shares reflections from his memoir and career, offering insight into the creative process behind both cuisine and writing.</p>



<p>Upon arrival, attendees will be welcomed with local acoustic entertainment, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Before each course, Chef Adam Loo will share the inspiration behind each dish and the importance of building his career on Prince Edward Island. The thoughtfully-curated menu will highlight local ingredients and flavours. This unique combination of food, storytelling, and live music creates a memorable, experience-driven evening that connects guests to the chef, his story, and the Island’s culinary culture.</p>

<p>Chef&#8217;s Island is hosted by Adam Ramsay with musical entertainment provided by Luka Hall and Julien Kitson.</p>



<p>Upon arrival to Chef’s Island at the Delta Hotels Prince Edward, guests will be greeted with a welcome beverage and a handcrafted amuse bouche. Luka Hall, an Island favourite, will keep the energy going all night with his live performance. Throughout the evening, guests will explore ten chef stations, sampling small plates &amp; mocktail pairings featuring the best of PEI’s local flavours while connecting with Island chefs. <br><br>The highlight of the night, the Chef’s Island Quickfire Challenge, will feature four chefs competing in a thrilling black-box showdown, all vying for the top prize of $1,000! Forty randomly selected guests will receive exclusive tasting tokens to sample one of the competitors&#8217; creations. 60 minutes, 4 judges’ plates, 40 guest plates, who will be crowned the 2026 Chef’s Island Quickfire Challenge Champion? The competition will be live streamed by Al Douglas onto screens located throughout the ballroom for guests wishing to watch the action without having a ‘front row seat’.<br><br>Indulge your taste buds, cheer on your favourite chefs, and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere. Chef’s Island is where food, fun, and fantastic flavours collide. Don’t miss out on this culinary extravaganza that’ll have you craving more.</p>



<p>In addition, the Chef’s Island ‘Stay &amp; Savour’ overnight accommodation for Saturday, October 10th is available for guests wishing to enhance their experience at Delta Hotels Prince Edward. <p>The evening will kick off with an available VIP hour where representatives from the restaurant brands including chefs, owners, family members and more, along with special guests, will come together for a cocktail hour to mingle with guests and enjoy a few small bites in preparation for the main event.</p>



<p>Then, everyone will move to the main dining room in the convention centre where tables will be set for a 5 course meal with family-style appetizers. All 8 menu items represent a specific restaurant brand.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Hosts Adam Loo and Adam Ramsay will welcome everyone, speak to how this event came to be, and will then introduce each course with a brief history on every returning brand and dish. Guests will learn about former restaurant brands, how they came to be, the impact they had on Canada’s Food Island, and how for many, their legacy lives on within the industry!</p>



<p>Each table will receive the first courses family-style, and then the remaining courses will be plated with plating stations led by the Ada Culinary team along with dozens of guests chefs and cooks.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase add-ons to their tickets for a late night, special reunion music show with a popular band reunited, The Meds!</p>



<p><strong>Shipwright&#8217;s Cafe</strong> is one of our 8 restaurants being featured at this year&#8217;s Hall of Food!</p>



<p>Nestled in the small town of Margate, Shipwright&#8217;s was known for its farm-to-table approach in an incredible open-kitchen setting. Each room in the restored farmhouse felt like a different dining experience with two re-imagined bedrooms upstairs converted into the Crow&#8217;s Nest and the Library private seatings. From chickens and sheep roaming in the front yard to potatoes and beet greens by the bag full, the place was filled with the bounties of PEI. Known for their seafood chowder and signature peppercorn beef tenderloin, Shipwright&#8217;s became a destination for locals and tourists alike for many years. We look forward to re-creating their signature beef tenderloin dish at the Hall of Food!</p>



<p><strong>Seasons In Thyme</strong> is one of our 8 featured restaurants for Hall of Food!</p>



<p>Originating in Tyne Valley and eventually moving to Summerside, Seasons In Thyme climbed the ranks to earn national recognition for its farm-to-table approach showcasing many of our great local suppliers. Chef Stefan Czapalay, filled with an unrelenting drive for perfection, helped put PEI on the map with his innovative approach and commitment to the culinary arts. Today, several impactful chefs who worked with Chef Stefan are having their own impact on the PEI culinary scene. We look forward to welcoming back Chef Stefan and featuring one of his own creations at the Hall of Food!</p>



<p><strong>Bonnie Brae</strong> is one of our 8 featured restaurants for Hall of Food!</p>



<p>The Bonnie Brae is cemented as one of the most popular restaurants in its time in Prince Edward Island. With its variety of seafood and meat dishes, it was well known as a busy spot where the locals ate. We are delighted to welcome Chef Hans Anderegg who is a former partner of The Bonnie Brae, multiple Canadian Chef of the Year winner, coach of several teams that have earned success on the international stage, and one of the most influential and impactful chef instructors from the Culinary Institute of Canada who will be helping us re-create one of the popular pork dishes that was once served at the restaurant.</p>

<p>Guests will enjoy a four course culinary journey, paired with wines selected by acclaimed sommelier Lesley Quinn, and accompanied by captivating storytelling from Cameron MacDonald, who brings to life the wit and charm of a true 1920s character, immersing you in the spirit of the Prohibition era.</p>



<p>Upon entry, guests will enter and sign their prescription for the night, and be welcomed with a beverage from renowned sommelier Lesley Quinn and the evening will unfold, going through cocktail and wine-paired courses that each hold a story tied to local past history.</p>



<p>The four courses will be cooked over wood fire beside the guests, as Lesley Quinn expertly pairs cocktails and wine, while Cameron MacDonald, a local historian and story-teller will be in character as a man from the era with prepared monologues throughout the event.</p>

<p>This premium, multi-sensory experience showcases the very best of Prince Edward Island through food, storytelling, setting, and world-class entertainment. Set along the scenic waterfront at Nellie’s Landing Marina, guests will enjoy an unforgettable evening that blends exceptional Island cuisine, local craft beverages, and an intimate live performance in a relaxed yet refined outdoor setting.</p>



<p>The evening begins with a welcoming reception featuring freshly shucked PEI oysters paired with local craft beer, setting the tone for a progressive culinary journey that highlights the Island’s most celebrated ingredients. Guests will enjoy seared scallops finished with a&nbsp;beer butter glaze,&nbsp;Island beef &amp; pork&nbsp;sliders, seasonal squash galettes, and rich&nbsp;seafood&nbsp;chowder — offering a thoughtful balance of elevated flavours and comforting Island favourites. The experience concludes with a trio of PEI potato-inspired desserts, followed by a late-night Galley S’more enjoyed fireside beneath the open sky.</p>



<p>Headlining the evening is renowned Island singer-songwriter&nbsp;Lennie Gallant. A true East Coast icon, Lennie is celebrated internationally for his powerful songwriting, rich storytelling, and deep connection to Island life. With multiple JUNO nominations and a career spanning decades, his music has become part of the cultural fabric of Atlantic Canada. Guests will experience an intimate, seated performance that brings his unmistakable sound and heartfelt stories to life — a rare opportunity to connect with one of Canada’s most respected musical voices in a uniquely personal setting.</p>



<p>Guiding the evening is&nbsp;Kevin “Boomer” Gallant&nbsp;— one of Prince Edward Island’s most recognizable voices and personalities. Known for his many years as a beloved local weatherman and broadcaster, Boomer brings warmth, humour, and effortless charm to every stage he steps onto. His quick wit and engaging presence will keep the energy flowing throughout the evening, with a few surprises along the way — including a special guest appearance that guests won’t soon forget.</p>
