The Details

Taste of Georgetown will feature two distinct culinary and cultural experiences, offering both a daytime garden lunch and an evening multi-course dinner, each designed to showcase local food, music, and the unique setting of Kings Playhouse. The event offers a unique combination of food, music, and place, designed to feel both elevated and welcoming while showcasing the best of Georgetown and the surrounding area.

Garden Lunch Experience (12:00 p.m. – approx. 2:00 p.m.)
Guests will arrive beginning at 12:00 p.m. and be welcomed into the outdoor garden and deck space overlooking the Kings Playhouse grounds. From 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., passed appetizers and beverages will be served, accompanied by live music staged at the end of the deck and within the gardens.

Following the cocktail-style hour, guests will be invited to enjoy a freshly prepared main course, including PEI lobster rolls assembled in front of them, served with fried potatoes and a garden salad featuring ingredients grown on-site. Seating will be available throughout the gardens, with indoor space in Dedication Hall available in the case of inclement weather.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., guests will transition into the theatre for a 30-minute live musical performance, providing a cultural component to complement the culinary experience before departing the venue.

Evening Dinner Experience (6:00 p.m. – approx. 9:00 p.m.)
The evening experience will begin with guest arrival at 6:00 p.m. for a 30-minute cocktail hour held on the deck overlooking the gardens at sunset. Guests will enjoy drinks and a relaxed social atmosphere before transitioning into the theatre at approximately 6:30 p.m..

A 30-minute live musical performance will take place in the theatre, highlighting local artists and setting the tone for the evening. Following the performance, guests will move into Dedication Hall for a seated, multi-course dinner.

The dinner will feature a curated four-course menu highlighting PEI seafood, local meats, and seasonal ingredients, with a maximum of 90 guests to ensure a comfortable and high-quality dining experience. Courses will be served sequentially, with a focus on pacing, atmosphere, and storytelling throughout the meal.

Musical Performances

Luka Hall is a dynamic singer-songwriter, guitarist, and accomplished fiddle player hailing from Prince Edward Island, known for his blend of traditional fiddle and folk/country music. Luka is rapidly establishing himself as a significant new voice in the music scene. 

Carlie Howell is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, educator, curator and arts worker. Their international performance practice spans a wide range of genres, including jazz, classical, folk, improvised and Brazilian traditional and contemporary music.

Raymond Knorr is a multi-instrumentalist, and singer currently living on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, Ray began taking fiddle lessons at four years old, and bass guitar lessons at eight. Ray grew up competing at fiddle competitions, performing shows and attending camps across Western Canada. 

Olivia Blacquiere is a singer-songwriter from the North Shore of Prince Edward Island. Drawing inspiration from the Island’s red clay roads, coastal beauty, and rich musical traditions, she crafts songs rooted in East Coast folk and storytelling.
